Music Business 2005

October 15th - 17th 1999  in Emeryville, CA.   The Music Biz 2005 Conference was an event featuring the most in-the-know folks around discussing the hurdles of moving the music business into the year 2005.  Very interesting material/debates,  Yes, it is a digital future ;-)  and the ShowCase URL was prominently displayed.  Do they now know something we've known all along?

MB-05 says -
Old ways of doing business are no longer viable. New technologies and business models, like broadband internet,                     artist-to-consumer electronic commerce, and  high-resolution multi-channel digital audio formats, are changing all the rules.

MusicBiz 2005 invites you five years into the future, when many of today's perplexing questions and intriguing situations will have played themselves out, creating a whole new  reality in the music business.

Spend a most valuable weekend in the San  Francisco Bay Area this October listening to expert visions of the future and experiencing  immersive displays of advanced music and sound technologies. Meet and mingle with those at the forefront of the changes, and get clued-in to the future of the music business.

Dear Rock Hall Foundation,

We would like to see ShowCase provide the backstage webcast of the upcoming Induction Ceremonies.  ShowCase has been doing a great job in delivering after-the-fact reports for the last few years.  And, they've really grown their webcasting capabilities.
