"This is the future. It's very positive and fruitful. The blues is in good hands. When someone has the right intentions, with sincerity, you can never go wrong. This is the person who has the voice, the sound, and the intentions, to touch everybody's heart."
                                                                                      - Carlos Santana

"The Tommy Castro Band is not only one of the most popular groups to come out of San Francisco, but this band  is also on the verge of stardom ... I predict that Tommy Castro will be the next rising star on the blues horizon.  He's got it all!"
- Tom Mazzolini, Producer San Francisco Blues Festival & Blues Programmer, KPFA  Radio

Formed a little over four years ago, the Tommy Castro Band has become one of most-talked-about groups  and among the hardest-working in the country, averaging well over 300 gigs a year. "The band has definitely come a long way as a group. We have an understanding. I realize the sound of the band is not just me. The sound that we've developed has come together as a band. We've got a little formula, playing all these songs, soul-sound, rock-sound, deep-blues-sound, going on. Trying to cover all those bases with the same four-piece lineup on every  song is a little challenging but it also helps (us) to sound a little different from everybody else"
                                                                                          -Joseph Jordan, Southland Blues
